Ray Kennedy

Ray Kennedy has been fishing commercially for over 33 years and primarily fishes for CA Spiny Lobster. He has owned/operated several fishing vessels throughout his career and is currently the owner/operator of F/V Rainman. 

Alternative fisheries that Ray has participated in have included rock crab, hook and line for tuna, seabass, halibut, and rockfish. 

Ray is also a proud father of two sons who are both involved in fishing and marketing. 

As of May 2026, Ray serves as CFSB’s Vice President alternate and he is also the Vice President of the California Lobster/Trap Fishermen’s Association (CLTFA), that he resurrected with Rodger Healy and Ava Schulenberg in the fall of 2023.
