Garrett Rose
Garrett Rose is the captain of the F/V Taurus and is a second generation commercial fisherman here in the central coast of California. Garrett immediately realized his love for the ocean and harvesting seafood while working for his father. At the age of 18, Garrett bought his first boat, the Prime Time, which he used to troll CA King Salmon up and down the west coast. While working full time and attending school, he worked among the Nature Conservancy to help establish a sustainable, low bycatch fishery — Which he currently uses today to harvest his black cod. At the age of 22, Garrett bought his second boat, the Taurus. Garrett and the F/V Taurus are currently working out of the Santa Barbara harbor.
